The Best Mixed Drinks for a Party Bus

The ideal mixed drink for a party bus has to meet three criteria: 1.) it has to be easy to make, 2.) it has to be delicious, and 3.) it has to be forgiving.

While all our rides are smooth, trying to make an intricate cocktail while in a moving vehicle is only asking for trouble. But if you want something besides beers and White Claws on your party bus, we can help! Today, we’re going to walk through some mixed drinks that anyone could make, no one could mess up, and only require a couple ingredients.

Bubbly Tequila Sunrise

This recipe from Tablespoon really only needs three ingredients:

  1. 2 oz of tequila
  2. Twice as much orange juice
  3. Orange-flavored LaCroix

Because tequila sunrises are typically layered, this is as forgiving as it gets: pour the tequila, pour the orange juice, then pour the LaCroix. Yes, these are traditionally served with cherries and grenadine—but honestly, your guests will be too busy having fun to miss some red syrup. Tequila, orange juice, and sparkling water is easy, delicious, and takes less than a minute to make.

Mimosa

Quite possibly the easiest, most delicious cocktail you could ever make with two ingredients:

  1. Champagne
  2. Orange juice

This is one of those rare cocktails where you can guesstimate the amounts. Whatever you do, just add a splash of orange juice, then roughly three times as much champagne. Boom! You’re down. It’s tasty (regardless of whether you go heavy on the orange juice or heavy on the champagne) and it takes a few seconds to put together.

Moscow Mule

Okay, yes, both our last recipes included orange juice. “What if I don’t like orange juice, Party Bus LA?” We’ve got you covered with a slightly modified version of a Moscow mule. Here’s what you’ll need:

  1. A tiny bottle of lime juice
  2. Ginger beer
  3. Vodka
  4. Ice

This is dead-simple to make: a few ounces of vodka, a splash of lime juice, and three times as much ginger beer. Serve with ice, and you’ve got a cool, refreshing little drink in almost no time.

If you’re the kind of person who likes being prepared, you can actually mix all of these drinks before your ride. Put them in pitchers with lids and serve over ice; now, serving mixed drinks takes a few seconds, and you can enjoy the party along with everyone else!
